The Fairy's Kiss
The young Russian violinist Dmitrij Smirnov (prize-winner in 2006 at the David Oistrakh International Violin Competition in Moscow) and the Padua-born and Basel-resident Marco Scilironi (much appreciated in the field of chamber music, guest of the Lucerne Festival in 2015) will be reunited for the second recital devoted to the new generation. The violin and the piano will outline Schubert's inner world, bicker in Bartók's Sonata and dreamy harmonies and confront Stravinsky's 20th-century language.
