The microphone is like a microscope, but to observe with the ears and not with the eyes. Many acousmatic pieces start from a detailed investigation of minimal sound events (such as the sound of a glass being hit or the noise of a ball rolling) to end up building a sonic macrocosm. This second EAR programme includes pieces by the composer Ana Dall'Ara-Majek that belong to her Nano-Cosmos, an acousmatic cycle dedicated to insects, small arthropods and microorganisms.
