Electro Acoustic Room: a room dedicated to immersive listening and the practice of multi-channel diffusion. A practice that dates back to the dawn of electronic music. An art of interpretation and listening: a diffusion technique that uses loudspeakers as performers, but not only. And this is where the acousmatic performer and the spatialisation technique come in. A discipline that is studied in electronic music schools around the world. The composition class of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana will perform some pieces from the electronic and acousmatic repertoire, highlighting those sensitive peculiarities that each performer, as a human being, can add to a work of art, albeit “fixed on a support”.
