The Collezione Giancarlo e Danna Olgiati opens its autumn season with the exhibition "Prampolini Burri. Della Materia”. With a sweeping viewpoint that spans the whole of the twentieth century in Italian art, the exhibition explores the use of unconventional materials — as opposed to the traditional medium of painting — by the Rome-based artists Enrico Prampolini (Modena, 1894 – Rome, 1956) and Alberto Burri (Città di Castello 1915 – Nice, 1995) whose practices embody a continuous experimentation with matter in art.
